We led the design and delivery of the first third (Block A) of the £115m City Deal funded EIIPR project, which covers a total of 12.5 hectares in the city. Acting as lead consultant, project manager (NEC3) and civil and transport engineer managing a team of specialised sub consultants.

Sustainable retrofit of iconic Oxford Street landmark

A landmark 1930s department store is transformed into a sustainable, office-led mixed-use development, retaining much of the original structure and reusing steelwork to drastically reduce embodied carbon emissions.

Central Manchester purpose-built student accommodation

Located in the heart of Manchester’s Whitworth and Echo Street Conservation Area, the project will deliver transformative new student living. The development provides 1,220 high-quality student bedrooms across three slender, elegant towers ranging from 12 to 27-storeys, connected via two architecturally striking link buildings.

Greening and nature-based SuDS in transport infrastructure

Guidance commissioned by the National Transport Authority of Ireland that designers and contractors can use to design and construct retrofit, nature based solutions in existing streets and along new Active Travel corridors.

The refurbishment of four historic residential blocks within Chelsea’s Sutton Estate, delivering modern, sustainable social housing while respecting conservation area context and improving estate-wide drainage, green space and accessibility.

A new visitor experience

A long-term programme of works at Lancaster Castle as part of a largescale transformation of the former prison into a visitor attraction. Excavations led by our Archaeology team began in 2017, which revealed evidence from the Roman period to the present-day. The team have more recently conducted historic building recordings on the Keep, Well Tower and Witches Cell, an excavation on the Chapel Yard and a watching brief on the execution pit.

Teaching facilities, student living and BTR

The redevelopment of the former Hilti HQ, the first project under the new Trafford Wharf Development Framework and Masterplan. It includes 438 Build to Rent apartments, 419 purpose-built student accommodation beds, and education facilities for the University Campus of Football Business (UCFB). The project adheres to new building regulations and employs a sustainable MEP strategy for low carbon development. Our transport team developed an access and servicing strategy prioritising pedestrian and cycle access, new landscaping, and SUDs features, while accommodating limited vehicle access.

Retrofit of the boldly unique 1930s art deco building

Led by Capital & Centric in collaboration with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Liverpool City Council, this project will transform the iconic Littlewoods Building into a BREEAM Excellent world-class media hub with film & TV studios. The £70 million 275,000 sq ft masterplan includes reinstating the iconic clock tower, office space, workshops, new studios, a public screening area, and landscaping that honours local screen stars. Our building services team are providing full MEP design and utilities management.
