Where did the year go?! As we prepare to draw a line under 2025, we’ve been reflecting on another whirlwind year at Civic.

It was the year we became one team Civic - a huge milestone for us.

Bringing everyone together under one team has strengthened our system thinking approach within the built environment and empowered us to create even greater positive impact for people, place, and planet. We’re incredibly grateful for everyone’s patience and support throughout this journey, and we’re proud of the brand we’ve built together - shaped by our amazing teams and services.

New members of the team

We also welcomed 79 new people to the team in 2025 – our people team were very busy!

This included senior hires such as:

  • Rob Harris, director, building services engineering and sustainability
  • Becky McLean, director of sustainability
  • Aisling Murphy, director of Irish studio

These senior hires have strengthened our leadership and broadened the expertise we can offer across our services and locations.

Event highlights

On top of all this, we hosted some fantastic events.

Our annual paella party was once again a real highlight of UKREiiF, there was great food, great people, and (thankfully) great weather! A big thank you to everyone who could join us - same again next year!

Across our studios, teams worked hard to raise funds for our partner charity, Maggie’s, taking part in challenges, events, and creative fundraising of all kinds.
Together, we raised £7,027.32 - an incredible effort from everyone involved.

We also made some brilliant memories at this year’s summer away days, filled with good food, drinks, and healthy team competition. We’re already looking forward to doing it all again next year.

As we wrap up, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make 2025 such a memorable year - our clients, collaborators, and most importantly, our amazing colleagues.

We’ll be taking a break from 24th December to 2nd January (5th January for Scotland).

Wishing you all happy holidays and a brilliant start to 2026.
