Climate risk is no longer a future concern, the earlier climate risk is understood, the more value that intelligence can provide.

Our sustainability advisory services help our clients deliver low-carbon, resilient and socially responsible developments, that meet evolving policy, regulatory and stakeholder requirements and prioritise nature and people.

Our team combines technical design expertise with a sustainable, system thinking approach, ensuring resilience is considered at the earliest stages of design, shaping decisions from the outset so value and opportunity can be maximised for clients.  By assessing and understanding the climate risk, we can ensure that the risk informs decisions and design, and the design informs resilience.

Sustainability means different things to different people and that’s where we demystify, simplify and join the dots to benefit our clients. From evaluating physical risks and climate adaptation measures, through to navigating the complex regulatory landscape and business transition risks, we support by managing compliance requirements, identifying and minimising their future risk to embed sustainability and unlock potential at all stages of development.

Designing with future climate conditions in mind is far more effective and cost efficient than adapting a building that is already in use. We look at a building’s whole lifespan, taking everything into account, from initial design and material selection through to construction, operation and eventual end-of-life impact. We work to decarbonise and futureproof our existing building stock, championing circular economy principles, in particular, the reuse of materials so owners can navigate the complex process of improving their buildings.

We go beyond project delivery. As thoughtful disruptors, we believe we have a role to play in developing policy, thought leadership and helping to educate within our industry and beyond. We explore how we can do things better, how we can be more efficient and how we can collaborate effectively so we can learn from each other and innovate together.

Our approach is regenerative, taking steps to repair a piece of the planet with each project we work on and mitigate the growing cost of the climate crisis on people, place and planet. By being aware of impact and taking a system thinking approach we can design projects and places that leave a positive lasting legacy.

Climate resilience shouldn’t be an add-on to great design; it should shape every decision from the outset. By taking a system thinking approach and understanding the connections between people, place, environment and infrastructure, we can create spaces that are equipped to adapt, thrive and deliver value for years to come.
