Meet our Ireland team

We’re excited to introduce our talented Dublin-based team, who are helping grow Civic’s presence across Ireland. 

Aisling Murphy, Regional Director - 12+ years in transport & urban infrastructure, passionate about streets and spaces that put people and sustainability first. 

Dave Keane, Associate - focused on reimagining streets for people - prioritising active travel, accessibility, and inclusive urban design for all users.

Ethan Richard-Smith, Graduate Engineer - bringing fresh ideas and energy to support projects and our growing footprint. 

Together, they work closely with our other Civic studios - and CEO Stephen O'Malley originally from Dublin, who has advised on Ireland’s built environment for over 30 years, and recently sat on the Taoiseach’s task force.

The team has already delivered exciting projects such as:

• National Transport Authority SuDS Guidance: https://lnkd.in/eNn_AAcG
• We’re leading the project for the Racecourse Park Development, delivering 5 km of greenways, a new Moyne River bridge, improved crossings, and recreational spaces - promoting active travel and community wellbeing.
• We’re leading the project team for the Hodson Bay Waterfront Park, co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union through the EU Just Transition Fund. With OKRA Landscape Architects, we’re enhancing the River Shannon shoreline to create a more sustainable and accessible visitor experience. 

Another highlight is the Rosemount District Centre Enhancement Programme with South Dublin Council, Raeburn Farquhar Bowen, KSN and Greengage - creating safer, greener, more inclusive spaces for residents and traders. From wider walkways and play features for children, to rain gardens and biodiversity improvements, the scheme has been warmly welcomed since its completion in summer 2024.

We’re thrilled to be appointed on the Tallaght Village Enhancement Scheme, a transformative project balancing heritage, sustainability and modern transport priorities to create a more resilient, people-focused streetscape.
