New Practice, part of Civic, recently caught up with Architecture Today, to chat about the regenerative work New Practice is involved with and how they collaborate with the wider team of system thinkers at Civic to deliver people-first projects.
The conversation focused a lot on the team’s drive towards regenerative and restorative work in the built environment, particularly architecture.
“A lot of it comes down to client education - showing that regenerative choices can add real long-term value, rather than short term cost savings being the main focus, and that we don’t have to compromise quality for profit.”
“For us, regenerative practice is the opposite of extractive architecture and placemaking. It’s about creating projects that give back to people, to place, and to the planet.”
