How can our cities and urban infrastructure improve the lives of people?

On 4th October, join us at the Academy of Urbanism conference to lift the lid on how great cities and places can enable people to lead happier, healthier lives.

Stephen O’Malley, our CEO at Civic, is set to speak at the conference which we’re proud to be sponsor, taking place in the city we were founded in.

Delegates will explore a programme of presentations, panels and site visits on some of the gamechanging projects taking place in the city.

Mayfield Park, Manchester city centre’s first park in over a hundred years which we were civil and structural engineers for, has been named a ‘Great Place’ finalist for the Urbanism Awards and is such a project.

Aimed at the whole community, the project is centred on the preservation, retention and re-use of historic structures to sustain the site’s heritage and reduce carbon.
