Excavation of the late 19th-century plate glass works

A unique opportunity to conduct an archaeological excavation of a plate glass works. The excavation was carried out by our archaeology team and revealed remains of the casting hall. This provided an insight into the layout and function of rooms within a late 19th-century plate glassworks. Our team also undertook a post-excavation assessment, and the desk-based assessment for the second phase of adjoining works.
