Looking ahead to the BCO Conference 2026

The BCO Conference 2026 is nearly here, and a few of our team will be making the trip to Edinburgh for a packed couple of days of workplace conversations, catch-ups and fringe events.

Representing the team at the conference will be Andrew Ruck, Director in our London studio, with Gareth Atkinson, Isla Jackson and Mark Fisher also spending time around the city on the fringe.

For us, the BCO conference has always been more than just another date in the calendar. It’s one of the few moments each year where the people shaping workplaces from every angle – developers, designers, consultants, operators and occupiers – all end up in the same place to compare notes on what’s changing, what’s working and what still needs rethinking.

And as longstanding supporters of the BCO, this year feels like an especially important moment to be part of the conversation.

Following our involvement in the recent BCO ESG Summit and success at the BCO North Awards, where Wigan Civic Centre was recognised for its transformational approach to civic workplace design, many of the conversations happening across the sector feel especially timely. Questions around retrofit, flexibility, wellbeing and long-term performance are central to how workplaces are being delivered and experienced.

That thinking continues to shape projects across our studios, from our role in the reinvention of landmark workplaces like city of London projects No 1 Poultry and 104 Old Broad Street (Pinners Hall), to creative and community-led environments such as Tileyard North and The Republic (Mayfield, Manchester). Alongside this, projects including 318 Oxford Street (The Elephant) and Edinburgh Innovation Hub continue to explore how workplaces can better support innovation, collaboration and long-term social value.

With Edinburgh set to be busy over 17th and 18th June, we’re looking forward to reconnecting with industry friends, both inside the conference and somewhere between the coffee queues and fringe events across the city.
