City Making panel: the role of participation in creating thriving communities
Join our teams for a panel exploring the role of participation in creating inclusive, sustainable and thriving communities

Our team of community engagement and placemaking experts are partnering again with Maccreanor Lavington for the next session of the City Making programme.
Taking place on Wednesday 11th June, 6pm onwards at our Glasgow studio at 4 Virginia Court, the session will explore the ‘participation’ in creating inclusive, sustainable and thriving communities.
The event will feature presentations from:
- Becca Thomas - New Practice, part of Civic
- Kevin Logan - Maccreanor Lavington
- Katharine Wheeler - The Stove Network
- Ben McLeod - The Social Hub
- Ben Raw - Civic
- Martin McKay - Clyde Gateway

This is the latest instalment in Glasgow’s popular City Making programme. Together in 2023, our teams hosted the first session which looked at collaboration and featured presentations from architects, engineers, designers, developers and local government.
The conversation continued in 2024, with a second session focused on leadership through the lens of activism, custodianship, leadership and governance.
This event is part of Architecture Fringe, a grassroots organisation based in Scotland that explores architecture and design in our social, political and cultural contexts.
