I first began working at Civic in 2017. I have good attention to detail and also quite a lot of patience with minutiae (although my children and husband would disagree on the patience front). I work with our People & Culture team and have a specific focus on recruitment. I have a varied role and I love the interaction with the teams across each of the studios and being part of such a vibrant company.
From a non-engineering background (I’m an English Literature graduate and began my career working in Foreign Language Licences in Book Publishing), I love the varied projects that Civic undertake and really love the company’s ethos and values. I’m a mum of three teenagers (not sure how that happened, time really does speed up as you get older) which keeps me busy.
In my spare time, I love to stay active and enjoy a wide range of sports, I am a (VERY) amateur triathlete. I’ve also recently joined a netball team; I haven’t played since school but am loving being part of a team and the excitement of playing competitive matches. In the last couple of years, I’ve discovered yoga and love both the mental and physical benefits of it. I’m gradually becoming more flexible and can now do a headstand, which felt like a huge achievement.
