Hi, I’m Richard. At Civic, I am involved in a variety of different things that include creating publications, information panels, and figures for reports. I also get involved with the recording of our sites using 3d scanners, drones and other survey equipment. I have worked in archaeology and heritage since 2005 and have had some fun along the way working all over the UK and France.
I lived in Montpellier for 8 years, working in, and around, the south of France. One of my favorite excavations was in Marseille where we uncovered a Greek necropolis in the center of the city. Outside of work I enjoy playing rugby in different forms. I occasionally play union for Didsbury Toc H (working towards retirement from full contact).
I regularly play tag rugby in south Manchester and have represented Manchester and Wigan at national level.
