Hi, I’m Lucy, Communications Executive here at Civic, based in our Manchester studio. I look after internal and external comms across our channels, helping share what we do in a way that feels clear, human and easy to connect with.
Before Civic, I worked agency-side across a mix of industries, but placemaking is what really stuck with me. I enjoy telling the stories behind how spaces are shaped and improved, that’s what drew me into this side of the industry. My route into comms wasn’t exactly linear. Along the way I’ve been a school dinner lady, a sunbed shop assistant and a barmaid - all jobs that taught me how to talk to just about anyone (which turns out to be pretty useful in this line of work).
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me scrutinising the quality of a pint of Guinness at the pub with friends, walking with my dog Johnny, or at a gig (22 in a year is the record to beat)!
