I’m Joshua, a Principal Electrical Engineer based in our Manchester studio.
Having grown up in Manchester and now living on the edge of the Peak District, I began my career in the construction industry in 2014 as a trainee engineer and have worked my way to my current role through hands-on experience, dedication, and a genuine passion for the built environment.
Over the past 12 years, I have worked across a broad range of sectors throughout the UK, leading MEP design for several notable high-rise residential developments in Manchester. My experience with high-risk buildings and the Building Safety Act means safety and compliance are central to how I deliver projects.
What drew me to Civic is its forward-thinking outlook and its holistic approach to creating projects that not only perform well, but also make a positive difference to the environment and the communities around them. That sense of purpose is something I value greatly in my work.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, getting stuck into home renovation projects, and making the most of time outdoors.
