Hi, I’m Joe, I work as a Geotechnical Engineer based at Civic’s Manchester Studio.
I graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2019 with an MSci (Hons) in Geology. I then began building on my geotechnical skills and knowledge assisting with Geotechnical design, data management and site support on transport infrastructure projects for SYSTRA Ltd. between 2019 and 2024, joining Civic in December 2024.
My role at Civic involves applying my geotechnical and geological knowledge to deliver sustainable and practical solutions for both ground engineering in construction and the remediation of contaminated ground. As part of this, it is crucial that I ensure key social and environmental considerations are at the forefront of everything I deliver. My responsibilities include the supervision of site investigations, the delivery of interpretative reports, inputting into geotechnical design and assisting the development of remedial solutions.
