My name is John Morrison-Wells – I joined Civic in April 2026 as a Principal Structural Engineer working in the Manchester studio.
I am a Chartered Structural Engineer with 11+ years’ experience working in structural engineering design consultancies across the North-West. I have experience working on a variety of projects ranging from single-storey classroom extensions to high-rise residential schemes.
Having spent the last year or so working in the nuclear industry, I am very excited by the prospect of the diverse range of projects that I will be able to get involved with at Civic. I am hoping that I will be able to contribute to what I can see is already a very talented and vibrant team.
I spend the majority of my spare time trying to keep up with my three children (7, 4 and 2 years old, all boys!) which is a tremendous amount of fun, despite the increasing challenge of navigating soft plays in my thirties.
I am very grateful for the warm welcome that I have received thus far and look forward to working with you all.
