I’m James, a bid coordinator in Glasgow. Before joining Civic in 2025, I spent 15 years working as a journalist. Most recently, I worked at the Engineering News-Record, where I wrote about lots of innovative projects, as well as regulations and other happenings affecting the engineering and construction sector.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing obnoxiously complicated board games, watching the New Jersey Devils play hockey and hiking short stretches of very long trails. I’ve walked parts of the West Highland Way, New York-New Jersey Long Path and Appalachian Trail —and I may finish one of them eventually!
