Hi, I’m Hurma, a Data and Systems Analyst based in the Manchester studio. I joined Civic in 2025 and spend most of my time making our systems smoother, faster, and a lot less confusing. I’m usually somewhere between building dashboards, tidying up data, automating anything that can be automated, and turning technical chaos into something people can actually use.
Before Civic, I completed my MSc in Big Data and Digital Futures at the University of Warwick and published six research papers along the way. I’ve presented at international conferences, even chaired a session, and basically spent a good chunk of my academic life chasing ideas until they made sense.
Outside of work, I write poetry, collect new hobbies like it’s a sport, and watch murder documentaries with my husband while confidently guessing the wrong suspect every time. I also automate every part of my life that will let me and write articles on data, AI, and whatever catches my curiosity that week.
