Hi I’m Dylan and I’ve joined Civic as a Structural Design Engineer in the London office.
I grew up in New Zealand and completed my studies at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch. I graduated with a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering in 2020 and a Master’s in Architectural Engineering in 2021.
Before moving to London, I gained four years of structural design experience in New Zealand. I worked on a wide variety of projects including industrial plants, port infrastructure, stadiums, and seismic assessments and strengthening.
I am a big advocate for sustainable and low-carbon infrastructure, and I am particularly interested in mass timber design.
Outside of work I am a huge fan of basketball and enjoy both playing and watching. I am always keen to try out new sports, more recently I have taken up squash and lawn bowls and dabbled in some surfing. In general, I love staying active, exploring new places, and learning new things.
