Hi, I’m Amina, a Sustainability Consultant based in Manchester. I hold an MSc in Sustainable Buildings (CABE accredited) from the University of Salford, where I focused on energy efficiency through building design and embodied carbon. Before pursuing my master’s and joining Civic, I worked as a Commercial Surveyor in Manchester, having previously graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Real Estate from Birmingham City University.
Over the years, I’ve developed a real passion for improving the sustainability of development projects. My work is centred on finding the most effective ways to reduce carbon emissions by balancing energy demand with embodied carbon, always looking for the best overall solution to enhance a project’s environmental performance.
Outside of work, I like to stay active through weightlifting, running, and hiking. I also volunteer with two fantastic charities, Lifeshare and Shout 85258, where I use my spare time to support vulnerable people.
