‘Dig Once, Green Twice’ Greater London Authority SuDS guidance

‘Dig Once, Green Twice’ is GLA guidance developed by Civic and project partners to help boroughs, utilities and contractors retrofit SuDS and street trees into planned utility works. By providing practical, coordinated design guidance for utility-constrained streets, it unlocks greener, healthier and more climate-resilient neighbourhoods at scale. The guidance enables routine streetworks to become opportunities for flood resilience, biodiversity, urban cooling and improved public realm, supporting healthier places across London.
