The value of developing with a conscience: don’t miss our UKREiiF panel
How can we develop with a conscience, and a level of care and authenticity for the communities that live there?

At UKREiiF this year, we’re hosting a panel discussion delving into ‘building trust with communities – the value of developing with a conscience’ to explore what it truly means.
You can join us on Wednesday 21st May, from 12.30pm – 1.30pm, at the Industry in Focus Pavilion, to hear from:
- Leah Stuart, director at Civic Engineers and panel chair
- Marc Cairns, managing director at New Practice
- David McEwan, divisional director for property, city deal and major projects at Glasgow City Council
- Jacqueline Esimaje-Heath, growth director at L&Q Group
- Tim Heatley, co-founder at Capital & Centric
And we’re very pleased to have Praise Obadimeji, ambassador at Regeneration Brainery join us as well. Regeneration Brainery is an award-winning social mobility programme that helps young people access pathways into property and regeneration careers, and we’re proud to be supporting the charity again this year out at UKREiiF.
With development involving so many complex agendas and voices, this session will explore how we strike the right balance between commercial viability, environmental priorities, governance requirements and, most importantly, building the trust of the communities involved.
We’ll ask, what can we do better? What lessons can we learn so that shared decision-making and authentic approaches shape the future of our built environment?
We’re once again session partners to UKREiiF, and we’re looking forward to catching up with everyone attending this year’s conference.
