Leeds 10

Ten years ago, Civic opened the doors to its Leeds studio. Since then, the team has grown significantly, moved offices, delivered projects that are shaping communities across the region and beyond, and become an integral part of our business.

To mark the milestone, colleagues came together to celebrate everything the studio has achieved over the past decade – with plenty of cake, great company and a chance to reflect on the journey so far.

What began as a small team following the acquisition of Cooper Consulting has evolved into a thriving studio of more than 20 colleagues spanning civil and structural engineering, transport and movement, geoconsultancy and operations.

Over the last 10 years, the Leeds team has played a key role in delivering places that are more sustainable, connected and resilient, while building strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners and communities.

The studio has also developed a reputation for bringing people together. From welcoming hundreds of guests to our annual Paella Party during UKREiiF to creating a collaborative, supportive working environment, people have always been at the heart of the Leeds story.

As we celebrate this milestone, we're incredibly proud of everything the team has achieved and excited for what the next decade will bring.

Julian Broster, COO at Civic said: "I'm very proud of the team that has steadily been growing over recent years. Under the stewardship of directors, Leah Stuart and Andrew Elder, our talented team of engineers and transport planners are thriving, working on some incredible projects across Yorkshire and the England’s north-east.

"Thanks to all of our clients, collaborators and friends across the city region who have supported us in the journey so far. We’re just getting started!"
