Supporting Place Yorkshire’s West Yorkshire Development Update
Exploring the region's latest developments on our doorstep in Leeds

We’re proud to sponsor Place Yorkshire’s West Yorkshire Development Update, right on the doorstep of our Leeds studio.
Taking place Thursday 3rd July 2025, from 8:00am at the Park Plaza, the event will offer insight into the local market and access to key voices in planning, design, and urban transformation.
As champions of people-centred, sustainable design, we look forward to engaging with West Yorkshire’s built environment experts and discussing how we can shape the region, joining Muse and Dalbergia Group as sponsors.
We’re looking forward to hearing from a great line up:
- Guy Butler, co-founder, Glenbrook,
- Clare Elliott, service director: economic growth and skills, Wakefield Council,
- Adam Brannen, head of regeneration, Leeds City Council
- Liz Hunter, director of policing, environment and place, West Yorkshire Combined Authority
- Simon Dew, development director, Muse
- Gavin Sorby, managing director, Buttress
- Lee Arnell, regeneration projects executive, Leeds City Council
- Kerrie Buckley, associate partner, Simpson Haugh

There’s a lot to celebrate in West Yorkshire, including the transformation of Wakefield’s Rutland Mills into a vibrant creative hub, Tileyard North, and Leeds' Climate Innovation District, a pioneering low-carbon neighbourhood.
We’re long-term supporters of the Place team and their programme of events, that drive regional growth by connecting stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and championing innovative placemaking projects.
Leah Stuart, Andy Elder and Bex Thomas from our team are heading to the event, and look forward to seeing you there!
