We’re proud to announce we are partnering with Regeneration Brainery to support the team that is creating opportunities for brilliant young minds.

Regeneration Brainery is an award-winning national programme, dedicated to aiding social mobility by boosting diversity, increasing job awareness, combatting the lack of effective work experience, and helping overcome the skills shortage in our industry.

The team has worked with more than 6,000 young people since it was established in 2017, providing bootcamps, mentoring and industry placements to support them to take a step into the industry.

We’ve been long-term supporters of Regeneration Brainery, with our very own Civic team supporting the cohort at past UKREiiF conferences and at Brainee weeks across the UK, sharing our insights and experience to engage students.

We’re also proud to have had a brilliant Regeneration Brainee, Jolee Dempsey, join Civic as an apprentice civil engineer last year. As part of her activity with Regeneration Brainery, Jolee was chosen to attend MIPIM 2025 where she first met our team and she attended UKREiiF as part of Civic in recent weeks.

Jolee said: “Regeneration Brainery has honestly opened so many doors for me. I never thought that, at just 18, I would get the chance to go to places like MIPIM and UKREiiF, where you can actually meet some of the biggest names in the industry. It has made me believe in myself, step out of my comfort zone, and start building a future I am genuinely excited about. The support, advice and experiences they have given me mean more than I can explain.”

Stephen O’Malley, chief executive here at Civic, added: “As a sponsor of Regeneration Brainery, we’ve seen first-hand how powerful hands-on experience can be in opening up opportunities and tackling the industry’s diversity challenge. At Civic, we’re committed to supporting the next generation of built environment professionals, because the talent entering our industry today will shape the places where people live, work and thrive tomorrow.”
