National housing and regeneration: supporting the Landscape Institute in Edinburgh
Becky McLean, director of sustainability at Civic, to speak at the event in Edinburgh on 29th January
We’re excited to be sponsoring the Landscape Institute’s National Housing and Regeneration Conference on 29 January in Edinburgh.
The conference will explore how the Scottish Government’s housing targets can be achieved while ensuring the places created are resilient, inclusive, and sustainable, and deliver long-term value for people, communities and the environment, aligning with our vision at Civic.
The event will explore:
- A landscape-led approach can support the delivery of Scotland’s housing ambitions
- How landscape-led planning and design can help to implement the Place Principle, support the National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4), and contribute to the transition to net zero.
- Bring together policy leaders and practitioners to debate and explore how this approach can be embedded in housing delivery across Scotland.
Becky McLean, director of sustainability at Civic, will share her insights as Chair of a fantastic line-up of experts on the day, exploring how housing can help address the biodiversity crisis and strengthen ecological networks.
This is a great opportunity to collaborate with contacts working across the built and natural environment and make the most of the opportunities by the Scottish Government’s ambitious housing targets.
We’re longstanding supporters of the Landscape Institute, and we’re proud to support this event taking place on the doorstep of our Edinburgh studio.
Attending the event alongside Becky will be Stephen O’Malley, CEO at Civic and fellow at the Landscape Institute, and James Travers, regional director at Civic.
See you in Edinburgh on 29 January.
