Investing in our future with UK-wide promotions
Reflecting our commitment to developing talent and building capacity across our services
The promotions reinforce our continued investment in our people and progression as we build depth beneath our senior leadership, and recognise individuals across our services, including structural, civil and building services engineering, sustainability, transport, geoconsultancy and operational roles.
Together, they reflect both the breadth of capability here within Civic and the strength of talent across the business, and will allow our team to have an even greater impact for people, planet and place.
Moving into Director positions are: Kirsty Poore, Director of Earth, who has more than 12 years’ experience leading geoconsultancy and site investigation to optimise soil function, across a broad mix of large-scale, mixed-use regeneration masterplans and retrofit projects; and Cher Wilkie, Director of Bidding and Growth, who leads our bidding activity across the UK and Ireland, and has been with the business for nearly ten years.

These promotions follow our strategy of carefully curated, sustainable growth which has seen the acquisition of Edinburgh-based structural and civil engineering consultancy Quattro in January, our third since 2024, as well as our growing portfolio of major UK and Ireland projects, including Mayfield and Sister in Manchester, Liverpool Waters, The Elephant in London, Tileyard North in Wakefield, Grow College Green in Dublin and The Avenues in Glasgow.
Julian Broster, COO and co-founder here at Civic, commented: “These promotions reflect the strength and depth of talent across Civic. We are a people-powered business, and creating clear routes for progression is fundamental to how we grow. Seeing our team step into new roles and continue to develop their skills and confidence is something we take great pride in.
“As we look ahead, investing in leadership at all levels will be essential in supporting our continued growth, strengthening our capability to deliver positive impact for people, planet and place, and ensuring we remain true to the culture that defines us.”
We’re committed to maintaining our inclusive and collaborative culture – one that values long-term relationships, people and a belief that financial strength should be a means to a greater purpose, not the end goal itself.
Earlier this year, we were proud to appoint Sadie Morgan OBE as our Non-Executive Director, bringing one of the UK’s most influential built environment voices to the board to accelerate progress and enhance Civic’s ability to deliver meaningful impact across the sector.
Congratulations and thank you to all our team.
