Exploring ‘the collaborative city’ at this year’s Festival of Place
Festival of Place returns to Boxpark, and we’re proud to once again be sponsors of the event which gathers some of the most innovative minds during an exciting day of talks, workshops and walking tours.

If you’re interested in making a positive impact, join us!
- Wednesday, 02 July
- 9AM - 5:30PM
- Boxpark Wembley, London
Festival of Place gather professionals in the place-led regeneration, development, design, investment and stewardship of UK towns and cities. The day offers an action-packed agenda with amazing facilitators unpicking how to make places that thrive, and a unique space to connect with purpose-driven industry leaders and spark conversation.
Following on from the success of our '3, 2, 1, retrofit gameshow last year, we’ll be hosting another collaborative workshop, this year focusing on ‘Creating the collaborative city’, where we’ll explore why system thinking is key to break down silos within urban development and create a culture of authentic collaboration.

Another must see session is The Pineapples’ run-through of our award-winning ‘Urban Mining’ project. Our director Gareth Atkinson will be sharing insights from the initiative, which has seen us reuse 40 tonnes of pre-war steel reclaimed from The Elephant on Oxford Street, London, at FORE Partnership’s separate development, TBC.London, a low carbon office retrofit at Tower Bridge.
And at 12.30pm, our director Leah Stuart is chairing the Net Zero and Decarbonisation panel which looks at the challenges, opportunities and action that can be taken. Panellists include Lamé Verre, Sustainability Director - Net Zero, The Crown Estate, and Amandeep Singh Kalra, Co-Founder, Carbon13.
We’re longstanding supporters of the Festival, which aims to create a better, more sustainable and equitable future for everyone.
Hope to see you there.
