This March, Civic is heading back to Cannes for MIPIM 2026, bringing our system thinking approach to one of the most influential gatherings in the global real estate calendar.

MIPIM is a place where ideas are generated, partnerships form and the future of the built environment is debated on an international stage – we’re very much looking forward to being right in the middle of it.

Five members of our team will be attending this year, each contributing to a lively programme of talks, panels, filming and conversations that span cities, regions and disciplines.

Our Chief Executive, Stephen O’Malley, will be in Cannes representing the full breadth of Civic’s work across all services and locations, working with public and private sector partners to explore the future of place. On Tuesday, Stephen will be speaking at the North of England stage, alongside Layer.Studio and Studio Hoodless, presenting Circ_IT The Edge Edition  which will dig into wht actually makes places successful.

Paul Morris, Director and Head of North Studio, will also be attending with Invest Manchester, continuing our strong connections across the city-region. On Thursday, Paul will be speaking on a panel on the Manchester Stand, talking all things green infrastructure and sharing insight into integrated approaches to water, landscape and infrastructure with Cyan Lines.

Director and Head of our Scotland and Ireland studios, Isla Jackson is heading to Cannes with Scotland at MIPIM, marking Scotland’s return to the event for the first time since before the COVID-19 pandemic. We’re proud to be a founding sponsor of the Scotland at MIPIM delegation.

Rob Harris, Director specialising in Building Services Engineering and Sustainability, will be attending with the London Club, connecting with industry peers and partners from across the capital and beyond. Throughout the week, Rob will be part of discussions that reflect our work in London and our commitment to practical, people-focused solutions.

And then there’s Gareth Atkinson, Director and Head of London Studio, who is quite literally going the extra mile. Gareth will be cycling to Cannes as part of the Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM 2026 with Club Peloton – raising money to transform the lives of vulnerable young people, if you’d like to support Gareth’s ride, donations can be made here. Once in Cannes, Gareth will be chairing a panel on Thursday at the London Stand focused on Materials first: Practical sustainability and adaptive reuse in the built environment – a topic closely aligned with our work on low-carbon design, reuse and long-term value.

Across every meeting, panel and conversation, we’ll be bringing Civic’s system thinking approach to the table, connecting infrastructure, place, people and environment to help shape better places.

If you’re heading to MIPIM and would like to arrange a catch-up with any of our team, we’d love to hear from you so do get in touch.
